Just Laugh

We’ve heard it all before or perhaps we never believed it.  What have we heard? That laughter is the best medicine.

Evidence suggests that laughter helps to reduce stress, increase your circulation, help you burn calories, boost your heart rate and an all around health promoter.  How can you go wrong?  One of the easiest and healthiest ways to reduce stress, which happens to be the #1 killer is, to simply laugh.

When we are stressed our immune system is compromised making us all susceptible to illness, infection and simply disease.  As our stress is reduced we are ultimately happier, can sleep soundly and are healthier.  But, I’m sure you’re wondering how laughter can help you burn calories.

Let’s break down the science of laughter to help you better understand.  When you laugh you tend to move your entire body including your muscles that will stretch and contract.  Think back on how your belly ached from laughing so hard.  How much easier is it to burn calories by simply laughing then sweating in a gym?  If I had t0 choose you know which one I would choose.

Imagine, you can actually be healthier by simply adding laughter to your daily routine.  Watch a funny movie, listen to your kid’s jokes, look at life through different shades, you can do it. Try it! It can’t hurt!
